Technical & Product Questions

What is “pixel pitch,” and which one do I need?

Pixel pitch is the distance in millimeters from the center of one pixel to the center of the next. A smaller pixel pitch (e.g., P1.9) means higher resolution and a sharper image, making it ideal for close viewing distances like in a boardroom. A larger pixel pitch (e.g., P6) is suitable for longer viewing distances, like an outdoor billboard. The right pixel pitch for you depends on the average viewing distance of your audience.

What is the expected lifespan of your LED screens?

Our LED displays are engineered for longevity, with a typical lifespan of 100,000 hours of operation. This translates to over 11 years of continuous 24/7 use. Our rigorous quality control process ensures that we use high-quality components to maximize the life and return on your investment.

How do I control the content displayed on the screen?

Our screens are compatible with industry-standard control systems (like Novastar and Colorlight). You can manage content via a connected computer using user-friendly software. We provide full training on how to upload, schedule, and manage your content. For more advanced setups, we can offer cloud-based solutions for remote management.

How do I choose the right pixel pitch (P2.6 / P2.97 / P3.91 / P4.81)?

Mainly based on viewing distance and content detail. General recommendations: Indoor 3–8m use P2.6/P2.97, stages/exhibitions commonly use P3.91, large long-distance displays use P4.81.See buying guide.

What are the key differences between indoor and outdoor LED displays?

Brightness and protection rating differ. Indoor typically 1200–2000 nits (IP54), outdoor requires higher brightness (up to 4500–6000 nits) and higher protection (IP65 front). Reference here Indoor and Outdoor.

What cabinet sizes do you support? (500×500 / 500×1000)

Both sizes available. 500×1000 has fewer connections and faster setup; 500×500 offers more flexibility. See rental cabinets → /500×1000-led-panel/, /500×500-led-panel/.

Where is P3.91 most commonly used?

Balances clarity and cost, widely used for stages, conferences, shopping malls, and outdoor event side screens

How do I choose installation and structure (rigging/stacking/wall-mount)?

Based on venue load capacity, space, and maintenance access. Rigging requires certified truss/hanging hardware, stacking needs stable ground support, wall-mount requires verified substrate capacity. See installation guide

What’s the difference between COB/GOB modules and SMD?

GOB/COB offer stronger surface protection and reliability, suitable for high-contact/semi-outdoor environments; SMD provides better cost-performance and easier maintenance.

What control systems are compatible? How does refresh rate relate to filming?

Compatible with Nova/Colorlight and other mainstream systems. For filming/broadcast, recommend refresh rate ≥3840Hz; processor and camera shutter must match.

How do I plan power distribution? How to calculate power consumption?

Formula example: Max power (W) ≈ Unit power (W/m²) × Area (m²) × Safety factor (e.g., 1.2). Requires three-phase balancing, circuit protection, surge protection, and proper grounding. Use our calculator here

Do you offer flexible/curved, transparent, or floor LED displays?

Yes, we support flexible P2.5/curved solutions (/flexible/p2.5), transparent displays (/transparent-led-display/), and floor tiles (/floor-led-display/) for creative spaces and brand installations.

What should I consider for creative installations (curved/cylinder/wave)?

Ensure consistent curvature, custom frames, and tolerance control. Flexible modules recommend minimum bending radius R≥200mm (project-specific). Reference → /flexible/p2.5 and curved installation guide section.

How do I calibrate white balance and color?

Factory pre-calibrated, on-site adjust brightness/color temperature/gamma per environment; recommend full-screen consistency calibration and functional testing.

What are the key points for outdoor waterproofing and heat dissipation?

IP65 front protection, reliable gaskets, waterproof cable glands, drip loops, shading, and ventilation cooling. Details → /outdoor-led-display/ and outdoor installation guide section.

How do I quickly troubleshoot common failures?

No signal: Check processor/mapping/input; partial blackout: Receiving card/power/data chain; color shift/flicker: Cable contact/refresh settings/interference; dead pixels: Swap modules to locate and record SN. See troubleshooting

How do I choose maintenance method (front/rear service)?

Depends on installation space and maintenance access. Tight spaces or wall-mounted recommend front service; rear accessible areas prefer rear service for cost efficiency. See maintenance guide
